Description

Biblical numerology is the study of individual numbers in Scripture. It relates particularly to the biblical meaning of numbers, both literal and symbolic. Conservative
scholars remain cautious about assigning too much importance to the meaning of numbers in the Bible. Such attribution has led some groups to mystical and theological extremes,
believing numbers can reveal the future or uncover hidden information. These groups delve into the dangerous realm of divination.
Today, these practices survive as "biblical numerology," the popular belief that God reveals hidden meanings through the numbers written in the Bible. There are countless
websites and books devoted to decoding divine mysteries by deploying creative math on Bible verses.
Serious scholars of the Bible are quick to dismiss numerology as a playful lark, but not as a legitimate way of interpreting scripture or grasping spiritual truths. Davis, a
believing Christian who wrote the aforementioned book on biblical numerology, concluded that "the whole system must be rejected as a valid form of exegesis [critical
interpretation of the Bible]" and that "such interpretations are purely artificial and arbitrary and have no place in Christian theology.
People of all traditions and cultures have always been fascinated by numbers. They believe numbers can hide many important messages and even tell us a lot about our future. Of
course, this doesn’t mean each number that appears in front of you has a specific meaning and symbolism.
However, the ones which appear numerous times, out of nowhere in front of you, probably have something to tell you, while it is up to you to discover messages behind it.
Numbers can have general meanings, but biblical ones carry a deeper message, and that is the aspect we are about to cover now in this article.
It has been very difficult for many people to know how dreams work and whether or not dream of number should also be considered as important. Evangelist Joshua consulted the
Bible and discovered that number played a good role in our dreams. It has been known lots of people have been searching the web to look for number dreams. Oh my God. Unlike
the Alphabet meaning of dream, number has its own spiritual meaning that is mysterious to many dream researchers. Number in dreams are symbols, orderliness and abundance. The
events of the book began in the second year after the Israelites departed Egypt, as they camped at Mount Sinai around 1444 BC (Numbers 1:1). The narrative ends thirty-eight
years later “in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho” (36:13) in 1406 BC. Numbers records the people’s long wandering in the desert of Sinai, their time at the
oasis of Kadesh-barnea, and their eventual arrival at the banks of the Jordan River across from the Promised Land.
More than just a history lesson, the book of Numbers reveals how God reminded Israel that He does not tolerate rebellion, complaining, and disbelief without invoking
consequences. He taught His people how to walk with Him—not just with their feet through the wilderness but with their mouths in worship, hands in service, and lives as
witnesses to the surrounding nations. He was their God, they were His people, and He expected them to act like it.
Modern readers can take away from Numbers not only a thorough history of Israel’s early days but also a renewed sense of God’s delight in obedience. He is our God, too, and He
wants us to live righteously, worshipping Him through our words and works.
